What Will My Baby Look Like?
No tool can predict a real child from two photos — and any site that claims otherwise is guessing. What an AI baby generator can do is show a plausible, family-resembling portrait: a blend of both parents' features at a chosen age. BabyStory renders that portrait from one photo of each parent in under a minute.

The honest answer
A baby's appearance comes from the combination of genes each parent passes on, plus a large amount of chance. Two brown-eyed parents can have a blue-eyed child. Two tall parents can have a short one. There is no photo-based method that predicts which combination you will get.
That is the reason we describe every result as an imagined keepsake rather than a prediction. Treating a generated portrait as a forecast would be wrong, and it is not what the tool is good at.
What an AI portrait actually shows
A face-editing model is given both parents' photos as visual references plus a written direction, and it produces a new face that blends the visible features: eye shape and colour, hair texture and colour, face shape, nose and mouth proportions, and the general expression.
The result reads as “a child of these two people”, which is exactly what makes it a good keepsake — a gift, an announcement image, or a way to imagine a future that has not happened yet.
- Eye shape, spacing and colour drawn from both references
- Hair colour and texture blended rather than copied
- Face shape and jawline averaged between the two
- Age-appropriate proportions for the age you choose
What actually influences a real baby's features
If you are genuinely curious about inheritance, the useful things to look at are family history rather than a single photo: which traits run in both families, how siblings turned out, and the wide natural variation in eye colour, hair, height and build.
A genetic counsellor is the right person for medical questions, including inherited conditions. An image tool is not a substitute, and we do not present it as one.
How to get the most believable portrait
Use two clear, front-facing photos with even lighting and no sunglasses or heavy filters. Both faces should be fully visible and not cropped at the edges, because the model uses visible features as its reference.
Then pick an age. Newborn and six-month results look quite different from an 18-year-old, and choosing an age near the one you actually want makes the output much more useful.
Questions people ask
Can AI predict what my baby will actually look like?
- No. Appearance comes from genetics and chance, and no photo-based model can determine which genes a child inherits. An AI portrait is an artistic blend of visible features, not a prediction.
How accurate is an AI baby generator?
- It is accurate at showing family resemblance and inaccurate at predicting a real child. Think of it as a high-quality illustration of “a child of these two people”, not a forecast.
Which photo should I upload?
- A clear, front-facing photo with even light, no sunglasses and minimal filters. A sharp phone photo is enough; cropping either face at the edge makes the blend weaker.
Is the first portrait really free?
- Yes. Your first baby photo each month is free — you only need an email address, no card. Additional photos and every video use credits.
